Oils for Oily Skins?
Squeaky clean skin may feel good initially, but soon afterwards the skin will be coated in more oil (called sebum) which is produced by the skin itself. This is because harsh foaming agents, detergents and synthetic chemicals found in commercial face cleansers strip the skin of its natural sebum. The skin tries to balance itself by producing more sebum to protect the outer layers of the skin, resulting in an overproduction of sebum and therefore oily skin.
Using an oil-based cleanser will in fact de-stress the skin as it will not lose vital oils and not be forced to overcompensate by producing excess oil.
Really Clever Cleansing Balm contains just the right ingredients to dissolve dirt, make-up and excess oil and balance the skin naturally.
Moisturisers containing a high proportion of water and no natural oils can actually be drying for the skin, which again causes the skin to try to balance itself by producing more oil. Facial creams and lotions that contain the wrong type of oils (i.e. mineral oils) coat and block the skin and can trap impurities.
Our Skin Boosting Serum and facial balms contain the right combination of natural and organic oils and botanicals, which are easily absorbed by the skin to balance, nourish and repair all skin types including oily skin.
