Younger Looking Skin Part 2

July 14th, 2008 by admin

You can get microdermabrasion results at home without harsh abrasives or chemicals. Firstly see How to get Younger Looking Skin Part 1

Microdermabrasion is just another way to exfoliate, with crystals, chemicals and a sandblasting tool.

However you do not need an abrasive and intense procedure to give you fresh younger looking skin.

“Hang on, exfoliation is nothing new!!!”, I hear you say.

I know, and there are a LOT of exfoliating products out there with a range of exfoliating beads, seeds and again, chemicals.

However I have been formulating and testing an exciting new all natural beauty treatment that is both an intensive mask, a gentle scrub and a gorgeous spa facial product all in one!

 When used regularly and with our very own all natural “tool”, the trusty organic cotton muslin cloth  the results are softer, fresher and more radiant skin.

The main ingredient is a balanced combination of three clays with some well chosen potent botanicals.
Clay has been used throughout history to cleanse, soothe, revitalise and heal the skin.
A clay mask on its own is excellent to deep clean, refine pores and revitalise skin with its high nutritious mineral content and ability to draw impurities out of the pores.

The addition of powerful botanicals such as raspberry, pineapple and cranberry extracts, goats milk (a source of natural AHAs), anti inflammatory chamomile petals and healing lavender buds transforms the plain clay mask into a supercharged intensive facial treatment to deliver nutrients, cleanse, exfoliate, stimulate, soothe and rejuvenate the skin!

The treatment can be activated with hand-hot water to create a deep cleansing paste or with oil (such as pure cold pressed vegetable and seed oils eg apricot kernel, rice bran or starflower oil) for a nourishing scrub.

When activated with water the treatment can be applied initially as a scrub by massaging in circular movements for a few moments before allowing it to set. Remove thoroughly with a warm wet muslin cloth.

Alternatively the treatment can be activated with a vegetable or seed oil (or blend of oils) and applied as a gentle and effective exfoliating scrub, and removed with a muslin cloth.

The beauty treatment is very versatile and can be used with a combination of application methods.

    For example:

  • Activate with water, make a thick paste, leave on for 10 minutes;
  • Activate with water, make a thinner paste, leave on for 2 minutes;
  • Activate with oil, apply as a scrub for 2 minutes and so on.

There is no right or wrong way but remember to achieve dermabrasion results you need to use the product often (4-5 times a week), with an exfoliating tool (organic muslin cloth) and at night preferably in conjunction with a nourishing, skin boosting facial serum or moisturiser to further encourage new skin cells and fresher, younger looking skin!

Samples will be available shortly (sign up to the Mailing List on the main website  to receive news of samples, tips and beauty news) and the full size kit with mixing bowl included will be available in 4-5 weeks.
